received new pictures of Jake a few weeks ago but I'm just getting around to posting them. It was nice to get such great pictures, since our referral photos were just short of a thumbnail photo. We met with the specialist and have a tentative surgery date set to repair the palate. We decided to go with Dr. Court Cutting at NYU. I did so much research about cleft repairs and doctors, that Jim said I could probably do the
surgery myself. I think he's just happy to get a chance to use the computer again. After meeting with Dr. Cutting, we felt great about the choice we had made. Not looking forward to 3-weeks with a 3 year old on a liquid diet, but I guess that's a small price to pay. We are still hoping to get our
LOA anytime between now and the beginning of December, which should put our travel dates in January. Right now we are putting together a care package of small toys and a photo album of our family.
